Seven hundred five spots (a and b) were present in six out of seven gels and were used for groupwise comparison between the s-Cath and mini-BAL samples. The volume of the 3D cone is related to protein abundance in the spot. Significant differences in spot abundance were calculated using the Student’s t test (p < 0.05)
