Immunofluorescence microscopical analysis of the glial fibrillary acidic protein in normal versus mdx-4cv brain. Shown is the immunofluorescence labelling of brain sections using an antibody to glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in wild type a versus mdx-4cv b cortex. The mdx-4cv cortex exhibited a substantially higher level of GFAP labelling, which agrees with the findings from the mass spectrometric analysis and immunoblotting of the mdx-4cv brain.
