Volcano plots are shown from all shared protein entries and their abundance in the following conditions: A all patients with P. vivax infection versus healthy controls by a paired t-test analysis; B patients with < 100,000 PLTs/μL blood (thrombocytopenia) versus healthy controls by a paired t-test analysis. Each dot represents a protein mapped consistently to its –Log (p-value) on the ordinate axis and its difference (fold change) on the abscissa axis with FDR cutoff α (0.05). Red dots are increased proteins, blue dots are proteins decreased, and black dots are proteins equally expressed in all groups. The volcano plots were made using the Perseus Software platform
