This plot depicts volcano plot of log2 fold-change (x-axis) versus -log10 Q value (y-axis, representing the probability that the protein is differentially expressed). Q value < 0.05 and Fold change > 1.2 are set as the significant threshold for differentially expression. The red and green dots indicate points-of-interest that display both large-magnitude fold-changes as well as high statistical significance. Dots in red mean significant up-regulated proteins which passed screening threshold. Dots in green mean significant down-regulated proteins which passed screening threshold. And gray dots are non-significant differentially expressed protein
