Functional annotation and pathway enrichment analysis of the up-regulated proteins common to stable and exacerbated COPD: (a) the major enriched GO terms in biological processes were metabolic process, biological regulation, response to stimulus, cellular process and immune system (b) The major overrepresented pathways upon ORA analysis were blood coagulation, plasminogen activating cascade, FGF signalling pathway, endothelin signalling pathway and EGF receptor signalling pathway. (c) The DEPs localized to plasma membrane, MAC, THO complex, early endosome and HDL were secreted into plasma.
